At the Institute for Fine Arts the following position is to be filled by 1.10.2020:

for Art and Art Didactics (f/m/d)

This professorship is funded by the Federal/Länder-program to foster junior scientists (Tenure-Track-Program).

Responsibilities:

The future holder of the position represents Arts and Art Didactics in the area of artistic practice, science of art and art education in research and teaching.

Responsibilities include teaching (4 SWS, increasing to 6 SWS after a positive interim evaluation), supervision of student teachers, independent research, examination activities and participation in academic self-administration.

Qualifications:

  • completed academic education with an excellent and relevant doctorate
  • special aptitude for scientific work
  • distinguished artistic profile
  • educational aptitude, acquired through teaching experience
  • 3 years practical school experiences are desired

The successful applicant is expected to participate in interdisciplinary collaborative efforts and to be interested in research and teaching in the fields of gender mainstreaming. Furthermore, experience in acquiring third-party funds is desired.

If the candidate has been employed as an academic assistant or academic staff member before or after the doctorate, the total duration of the doctoral and employment phases should not exceed 6 years.

The tenure-track professorship is initially limited to six years. Upon successful evaluation, the tenure-track professor will be promoted to a full professorship (W3).
