PROFESSORSHIP W1 WITH TENURE TRACK TO W3 IN THE DOMAIN OF DATA-DRIVEN INNOVATION

This professorship is funded by the Joint Federal Government-Länder Tenure Track Programme (“Bund-Länder-Programm zur Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses”).

The initial appointment will be for three years, with the possibility of renewal for a further three years after a positive interim evaluation. After positive evaluation in the final year, the candidate is tenured on a professorial level (W3). This appointment is due to commence in the summer term 2021.

The School of Management Sciences and Technology seeks applications that establish research and teaching in data-driven innovations at TUHH. The junior professorship requires profound knowledge and experience in the field of innovation research as well as the digitalization of markets in order to guarantee collaborative, successful research with other TUHH institutes and external research institutions. The successful candidate is further expected to conduct high-quality, original and relevant theoretical and empirical research of international standing preferably at the intersection of the following disciplines: innovation management, organization research and computer science. TUHH is looking for an ambitious scholar with a research and teaching focus in at least one, preferably several of the following research themes and (sub-) fields:

  • Development of data-driven innovations
  • Business models for data-driven innovations
  • Impact of data-driven methods on innovation management
  • Developing data-driven techniques for innovation practice and research

Documented experience in teaching is expected. Courses at undergraduate and graduate level will be offered to students from different departments, including courses focusing on problem-based learning.
