This professorship is funded by the Joint Federal Government-Länder Tenure Track Programme (“Bund-Länder-Programm zur Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses”).
The initial appointment will be for three years, with the possibility of renewal for a further three years after a positive interim evaluation. After positive evaluation in the final year, the candidate is tenured on a professorial level (W3). This appointment is due to commence in the summer term 2021.

The School of Management Sciences and Technology seeks applications that establish research and teaching in Digital Logistics Technology at TUHH. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Engineering and a doctorate in the fields of Logistics or Industrial Engineering. The professorship requires research experience in Technical Logistics as shown by publications in scientific and practitioner journals. A strong IT and digitalization background is mandatory. Practical work experience in industry, ideally in initial management positions, is desirable. The candidate should also have worked with companies and other external partners in joint transfer and consultancy projects, preferably self-acquired. TUHH is looking for an ambitious scholar with a research and teaching focus in at least one, preferably several of the following research themes and fields:
YOUR TASKS
The person appointed to the post will teach courses in different degree programs of the School of Management and Technology, at both undergraduate and graduate level. Experience with teaching and student supervision in the field of Technical Logistics is required. Collaboration with industry partners requires a good command of both English and German.
