Tenure-track professor of psychology (male/female/non-binary)
(W1 with tenure track W3; term-limited initially in acc. with § 51 Abs. 7 LHG BW) Reference number: 21-82

Responsibilities: teaching classes (up to the interim evaluation 4, then 6 credit hours per week per semester (SWS)) and research in the field of psychology within the framework of the study programmes offered at Ludwigsburg University of Education; supervision of school placements; examination responsibilities and contribution to the university’s self-governance.

Required qualifications: academic degree in psychology (diploma / master’s degree), relevant qualified doctorate in psychology; research focus in the area of educational psychology; additional research areas in social processes in school contexts and/or in childhood and adolescence and/or in diagnostics and intervention in school contexts favourable. Additional academic requirements: teaching experience and grant acquisition or experience in university self-governance are advantageous; pedagogical competence.

The tenure track position is created in the context of the joint programme of the federal government and the Länder to promote early-stage researchers. Please note the required qualifications and other requirements set out in section 51 LHG. The successful applicant will receive a fixed-term contract either as a civil servant (“BeamtIn”) with set tenure or as a public employee (“Angestellte/r”). In case of successful (final) review, the person will be appointed as a W3 professor with a permanent contract (without a further application requirement) in an appropriately simplified appointment procedure as set out in section 48 subsection 1 LHG.
