Tenure-Track Professorship for Educational Effectiveness

The Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at Tübingen University seeks to fill the following position at the Hector Research - Institute for Education Sciences and Psychology
 

Tenure-Track Professorship for Educational Effectiveness

 
The position is due to commence on April 1, 2019 or later. 
 
The holder of this professorship will be situated within the field of research and teaching program regarding educational effectiveness, with an additional concentration in one of the main fields of research at the institute (educational effectiveness/competence modelling, motivational and personality development in the school context, instructional quality, giftedness, methodology in education sciences/psychology). In addition, close cooperation with the members of the LEAD Graduate School & Research Network is desired. 
 
The professorship will be involved in the following study programs: Master of Education Science and Psychology, Bachelor Education Science and Social Work/Adult Education, and the educational training of teaching students (Lehramt).
 
Required qualifications include an outstanding doctoral thesis in a pertinent field, recognizable potential for internationally visible publications in leading international peer-reviewed journals, and teaching aptitude. 
 
Applicants for a tenure-track professorship with a PhD from Tübingen must have changed universities after completing their doctorates or have worked in academia for at least two years somewhere other than the University of Tübingen.
 
If the final evaluation after six years is positive, this professorship will be upgraded to a full (W3) professorship with no re-advertising of the position.
