Tenure Track University Professorship (Salary Scale W2 NBesO leading to a W2) in Cell based Drug Development 

 
to start at the next possible date. The initial appointment will be for 5 years. After positive evaluation the candidate will receive a tenured professorship on the salary scale W2.
 
The job announcement is part of the Bund-Länder-Programm zur Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses (federal and state program for the promotion of early-career scientists). It aims at reserarchers at an early career stage with an outstanding potential for a successful career in science.
 
We are looking for an expert in the area of translational medicine, with a proven track record on biomarker research, preclinical profiling and ideally also clinical development of drug candidates. Utilization of imaging techniques and innovative methods employing primary cells are of particular interest. Active participation in drug discovery initiatives of Leibniz Universität, as well as in associated activities of Hannover Medical School and German Research Center for Environmental Health (Helmholtz Zentrum München), is expected.
 
Conditions of appointment are in accordance with the Higher Education Act of Lower Saxony (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz - NHG). Details will be explained on request.
 
Part time employment can be arranged on request.
