University Professorship (m/f/d) of Salary Scale W2 NBesO with Tenure Track leading to a W2 NBesO in Behavioural Aspects of Environmental Planning

starting October 1, 2020. The initial appointment will be limited to 5 years. After positive evaluation, the candidate will receive a tenured professorship (salary scale W2).

The job announcement is part of the Joint Federal Government-Länder Tenure-Track Programme to promote junior researchers. lt is aimed at young researchers with outstanding potential for a successful academic career.

Behavioural Environmental Planning is a highly innovative and interdisciplinary field of research at the intersection of psychology, economics and planning. The Professorship encompasses research of the behaviour-oriented mechanisms that are employed by groups of actors involved in important environmental planning decisions.

We are seeking a scientist in the field of Behavioural Science with the potential to obtain third-party funding and the willingness to initiate research programmes.

The successful candidate will be expected to hold lectures and seminars as well as to supervise student projects that address environmental (planning) decisions. lt is anticipated that the successful candidate will actively engage in interdisciplinary cooperation with the research centres of the LUH as well as participate in research at the Institute for Environmental Planning. Participation in the self-administration of the university is required.

The successful candidate will be expected to hold selected courses in German and English.

General responsibilities and conditions of appointment apply, in accordance with the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz - NHG). Details will be provided upon request.
